The Planning and Development Board of Punjab is a quasi-autonomous body constituted by the Government of Punjab, Pakistan to plan and develop the province. The board has been given complete control over development activities in the province except for those matters that fall under federal jurisdiction such as foreign affairs, defense, currency, and taxation matters. The planning and Development Board Lahore in Pakistan is established for the development of the Province. The board consists of members from various fields such as education, law, engineering, architecture, environment, and agriculture; who are appointed by the Punjab government to serve for a period of 3 years. Planning and Development Board Lahore’s main focus is on developing infrastructure like roads and electricity networks in rural areas that need it most. One way they can do this is through construction projects which they use to generate funds for future projects.
